Literary Luminaries Cemetery Tour
Are you a literary pilgrim? Then this tour is for you. Learn about the Literary Luminaries buried on Author’s Ridge in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Along the way, you will learn about the cemetery's history and other Conspicuous Figures of Concord.
This 1.5-mile, 75-minute tour will be on paved sidewalks and roads. Within Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, some walking will be done on grass or uneven earth.
NOTE - Author’s Ridge is located on an esker with about a 30% incline. There is a handrail on one path. The tour returns downtown at the end.
April 19th American Revolution Tour
For the fan of American History, start your tour in downtown Concord visiting some downtown locations before walking where history happened along Lexington and Monument Streets. Next, you will retrace the footsteps of Colonists and Redcoats on your way to Minute Man National Historical Park, where you will visit the fifth version of the Old North Bridge. During the tour, you will learn about Concord's special place in this history.
This 1.5-mile, 75-minute tour will be on mostly level, paved, and crushed stone sidewalks to Minute Man National Historical Park, where there will be packed dirt paths returning to downtown at the end of the tour.
Two Revolutions Tour
Do some of your party want to visit Concord for the American Revolution while the rest is more interested in the authors that lived here? Never fear! Two Revolutions is the tour you have been looking for! It will please everyone in your group.

This two-hour walk where history happened begins in downtown Concord and travels up Monument Street to Minute Man National Historical Park. For the first half of the tour, you will learn all about the first revolution, the American Revolution, and Concord's role in it. The tour then returns downtown to visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where you will learn about the Second Revolution in Concord, the Literary Revolution. Finally, the walk will take you to Author's Ridge, the resting place of Henry David Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Louisa May Alcott, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, before returning downtown.
The three-mile walk will cover paved and crushed stone sidewalks, packed dirt paths, paved roads, uneven earth, grassy areas, and one hill with a 30% incline.
Louisa May Alcott's Concord
Walk where Louisa walked in this 75-minute tour of downtown Concord and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Learn about Louisa May Alcott, the author, as you hear tales about her childhood and upbringing, her writing, and visit her grave.

Grave Detectives
This family-friendly tour is perfect for all ages. Learn how to date gravestones based on the iconography, look for the stories told in the stone and errors, and finally, listen to some stories about those buried in Old Hill Burying Ground.
This .25-mile walk is on an esker, a hill with about a 30% incline. There is one paved path; however, most of the tour is on the uneven, grassy hill. Strollers are not appropriate for Old Hill Burying Ground.
